Tim Roth and his family are deep in mourning.

Cormac Roth, a talented musician and the beloved son of actor Tim Roth, has sadly passed away at the tender age of 25. He died peacefully in the “arms of his family” who cherished him dearly.

The heartbreaking announcement of Cormac’s death was made on October 31, 2022, although he had actually passed away about two weeks earlier.

Only a few months earlier, in July, Cormac had opened up about his battle with cancer on Instagram. Tim Roth, his devoted father, revealed in a heartfelt statement to NBC News that Cormac succumbed to his illness on October 16, 2022. His words were filled with grief but also a recognition of his son’s courage:

“On Sunday, the 16th of October, we lost our beautiful boy Cormac after a courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully in the arms of his family, who loved and adored him. He fought with incredible bravery for the past year and maintained his wicked wit and humor to the very end.”

Cormac had bravely disclosed his cancer diagnosis in July 2022, but he had actually been battling stage 3 germ cell cancer known as Choriocarcinoma since November 2021.

He provided a detailed account of how the aggressive disease had taken its toll on him, causing weight loss, hearing issues, and impacting his confidence. Despite the grueling treatment and the hardships he faced, Cormac remained resilient.

In his poignant Instagram post, the young musician vowed to fight his cancer with all his might and expressed that his love for creating music remained undiminished. He signed off with a powerful message of love and a reminder of life’s preciousness:

“Love to you all; please make sure to do the things that you love. Life is short. It is chaos.”

After Cormac’s passing, his family shared their gratitude for the time they had with him, cherishing every moment of his too-short life. They expressed their sorrow for losing him just as he was stepping into adulthood:

“We love him. We will carry him with us wherever we go.”

Cormac leaves behind a grieving family: his father Tim Roth, his mother Nikki Butler, and his brother Hunter Roth, who will always remember him fondly.

Such a heartbreaking situation for such a young and vibrant person. Cancer truly is a devastating disease.
