Sam called his wife and said to her in a weak voice,

“Hey honey, I was driving to a coffee shop to meet Mary when all of a sudden, a stray dog came into my way. I tried to steer left to avoid hitting it, but the car skidded because I was driving too fast. It rolled over and almost went off a cliff.

The car was hanging nose down over the cliff. I looked down and feared for my life.

“I somehow managed to climb out of the car and save myself just before the car plunged over the cliff. It crashed thousands of feet below and blew up into pieces.”

Sam continued, “I was taken to a hospital. I have a broken leg, a broken jaw, a dislocated shoulder, and several injuries on my head.”

There was silence on the phone, then his wife asked, “Who is Mary?”
