Cher promises she ‘will leave’ the country if Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential election

Cher is fully prepared to leave the U.S. if Donald Trump is re-elected president in 2024.

The pop icon made the bold claim in a recent interview with The Guardian.

โ€œI almost got an ulcer the last time,โ€ Cher said. โ€œIf he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].โ€

At the tail end of Trumpโ€™s presidency he rolled back nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people.

The โ€œBelieveโ€ singer did not hold back when discussing trans rights and the number of bills being passed against the LGBTQ community.

โ€œItโ€™s something like 500 bills theyโ€™re trying to pass,โ€ Cher said. โ€œI was with two trans girls the other night โ€“ and of course my own child [Chaz is trans]. I was saying โ€˜Weโ€™ve got to stand together.โ€™ I donโ€™t know what their eventual plan is for trans people. I donโ€™t put anything past them.โ€

This isnโ€™t the first time Cher has spoken her mind about Trump. When he became president in 2020, she said, โ€œI hate to even call him a president because all he does is watch TV.โ€

Cher also predicted the former president would have a meltdown if he didnโ€™t win the reelection.

โ€œIf Trump canโ€™t be in the White House, heโ€™s going to burn it down,โ€ she stated. โ€œHeโ€™s the most vindictive person Iโ€™ve ever witnessed. I think heโ€™s fighting so hard because heโ€™s going to be prosecuted when he gets out of the White House.โ€
