Cher is fully prepared to leave the U.S. if Donald Trump is re-elected president in 2024.
The pop icon made the bold claim in a recent interview with The Guardian.
โI almost got an ulcer the last time,โ Cher said. โIf he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].โ
At the tail end of Trumpโs presidency he rolled back nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQ people.
The โBelieveโ singer did not hold back when discussing trans rights and the number of bills being passed against the LGBTQ community.
โItโs something like 500 bills theyโre trying to pass,โ Cher said. โI was with two trans girls the other night โ and of course my own child [Chaz is trans]. I was saying โWeโve got to stand together.โ I donโt know what their eventual plan is for trans people. I donโt put anything past them.โ

This isnโt the first time Cher has spoken her mind about Trump. When he became president in 2020, she said, โI hate to even call him a president because all he does is watch TV.โ
Cher also predicted the former president would have a meltdown if he didnโt win the reelection.
โIf Trump canโt be in the White House, heโs going to burn it down,โ she stated. โHeโs the most vindictive person Iโve ever witnessed. I think heโs fighting so hard because heโs going to be prosecuted when he gets out of the White House.โ
