Candace Cameron Bure Shares Why Her Family Left Los Angeles

Candace Cameron Bure is among the many celebrities who have recently chosen to leave Los Angeles. She spoke with Fox News Digital to explain why her family decided to relocate from the bustling city known as the City of Angels.

“We didn’t feel safe anymore,” Candace candidly revealed. “That was the biggest reason that we moved.” Feeling unsafe in their own home prompted Bure to seek a quieter, more secure environment for her family.

At 48, the beloved actress and mother of three adult children disclosed that not everyone in Los Angeles lives in gated communities. Their family was one such family without a barrier protecting their home, and as a result, they faced unsettling experiences.

Candace reflected on the incidents where strangers would take unsolicited photos, lurk on their property, and even approach their front door, all of which made them uneasy.

“It’s surprising what people think they’re allowed to do,” she commented. “They want to be involved in your life somehow. Some encounters are harmless, but others are far from it. It’s quite alarming when you’re just trying to live your life, never knowing what’s next.”

Recently, she addressed her social media followers who were curious about their move.

The Bure family indeed packed up and left Los Angeles.

“‘Why?’ Mostly for security reasons,” she stated on her Instagram Story. “Also, our family dynamics have changed. The kids don’t live in Los Angeles anymore, so I’ll follow where they go! I travel a lot, and life changes with seasons.”

Though she kept her new home location a secret, she did confirm they’re still in California.

“There have been rumors about where we moved, and none of them are true,” Bure clarified. “We didn’t move to Nashville or Texas. We’re still in California but we’ve gone up north, no longer in Los Angeles.”

It’s entirely understandable why the Bure family would decide to move when faced with fans invading their privacy at home.
