However, there are limits to what society is prepared to accept when it comes to body modification and self-expression. One man, Anthony Loffredo, may have reached that limit with his extreme transformation into what he calls the “black alien”.
Anthony’s appearance turns heads wherever he goes. Reports indicate that he faces difficulties in finding employment and encounters discrimination from various establishments. But why? It all stems from his pursuit of becoming the “black alien”.
Unlike the majority of us who may opt for tattoos or unconventional piercings, Anthony has taken body modification to a whole new level. He has amputated his nose, cut off both ears, tattooed his skin and eyeballs black, split his tongue, filed his teeth, and even had two fingers surgically removed. Additionally, he has burned demonic symbols into his flesh and implanted horns beneath his skin, giving himself a more monstrous look.
In an interview, Anthony revealed that he considers himself only 65 percent finished with his modifications. His future plans include amputating one of his legs to have it replaced with a biomechanical one. Before embarking on this journey, Anthony spoke about his dissatisfaction with his body, stating that he was “happy, but not in the right body”.
Despite his unconventional appearance, Anthony’s parents have been supportive of his decision, and he has even found love with model and tattoo enthusiast Melina Shakur. In order to undergo certain procedures, Anthony often has to travel to other countries as they are illegal in his home country. He has undergone surgeries in underground clinics and tattoo shops under general anesthesia.
While Anthony’s extreme body modifications may shock some, he has recently expressed his desire to focus on living his life rather than pursuing further procedures. He and his girlfriend have even considered the idea of having some of his tattoos removed. Regardless of one’s opinion on his appearance, what matters most is that Anthony is content with himself.
