Justin Timberlake, our beloved pop prince and occasional woodsy wanderer, gave Boston fans something to talk about during his Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop at the TD Garden. Picture him on stage, with that cheeky grin, and you’ll get the vibe of the night.
Yup, you guessed it. Right amidst his high-energy performance, Timberlake tossed out a joke that seemed to nod to his recent goof-up – his infamous DWI arrest.
Banter and Laughter
“Is there anyone here tonight that is driving and … no, I’m just kidding,” Timberlake quipped, effortlessly charming the crowd. The audience, nearly 20,000 strong, erupted into laughter and applause. Timberlake then shifted gears, asking, “Is there anyone here tonight, that it’s your first time here to the show? Is there anybody here that you’ve been to 1, 2, 3, maybe 4 of our shows?”
The Heartfelt Moment
Continuing on a more serious note, Timberlake addressed first-time concertgoers, “For all of you that it’s your first time tonight — on a serious note — I hope that you feel the fellowship and the love.” He then reflected on his long journey with the fans, humbly acknowledging his past missteps, “For those of you that have been with me through all the weird haircuts … don’t act like y’all didn’t have bad haircuts! I took one for the team. Maybe like 3 or 4 for the team, but who’s counting? But it’s been almost three decades together, you guys.”
Ah, nostalgia. It’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it?
Oh, That DWI Arrest…
Now, about that driving while intoxicated situation. Timberlake was arrested on June 18 in Sag Harbor, New York, after reportedly failing to keep in lane and running a stop sign. Classic troublemaker moves, right? He even admitted to authorities, “I had one martini and I followed my friends home.”
His court date is set for July 26, but don’t expect to see him there. The pop star will be on tour in Europe, with his lawyer holding down the fort in his absence. Let’s just say, JT has his priorities straight.

And what’s the vibe in the Timberlake-Biel household? A source said Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, aren’t sweating the small stuff and are focusing on their careers and family. They’ve moved past the arrest like it was a minor wardrobe malfunction. Biel, ever the supportive spouse, was spotted dancing away at Timberlake’s Madison Square Garden show on June 25. Clearly, love and music conquer all, right?
