Imagine being Jennifer Lopez these days.
If you keep up with celebrities, you’ll know that J-Lo’s been the subject of a lot of chatter lately. Rumors and speculation have been swirling around, adding a touch of drama to her life.
Recently, the 54-year-old’s latest project, the This Is Me Now movie, didn’t quite hit the mark, receiving mixed reviews. On top of that, there’s been a flurry of gossip suggesting that her highly publicized marriage to Ben Affleck might be in trouble.
Just last week, interest in their relationship reached a boiling point. Ben Affleck was seen without his wedding ring, and some even claimed that his ex, Jennifer Garner, was trying to help him and Lopez stay together.
There’s certainly no shortage of stories about ‘Bennifer’ – a name coined for Lopez and Affleck’s first romance back in the early 2000s. Whether or not their marriage is really on the brink is something only they and their closest friends would know. The rumors are certainly fueled when either Lopez or Affleck steps out solo, raising eyebrows and questions.
Lopez did just that last week at the premiere of Atlas. She seemed happy for the cameras but still didn’t escape public scrutiny about her appearance.
Decked in a chic black dress with a white bodice, Lopez made a style statement, proudly wearing her wedding ring. Yet, certain internet users couldn’t help but comment on her appearance, noting that she looked thinner than usual.
Some of the comments were pretty harsh: “What happened to her?” one person wrote. “Her face looks so odd. What happened? She seems to have aged twenty years,” commented another. A third noted, “A bit skinny and stressed J. Lo here.”
There were more hurtful opinions: “Another one bites the dust for JLo,” a fourth person said. A fifth stated, “The weight loss and that severe hairstyle make her face quite harsh.”
Curiously, Lopez herself acknowledged that she’s currently the thinnest she’s ever been. According to the Daily Mail, she said, “I’m the thinnest I’ve ever been,” attributing her new physique to a role that required her to get in “fighting shape.”
