Jessica Higgs suspected something was wrong when she entered the home of an old man — and she was correct.

When one Instacart employee decided to go against her instincts and step outside of her comfort zone, she may have saved two lives.

Jessica Higgs, a mom from Georgia, talked up about how she listened to her instincts during a recent food delivery in a popular TikTok video that has had over 16.5 million views since it was posted on Feb. 1.

Higgs was told to leave the bags on his doorstep by the buyer who placed the purchase for her father.

“When I got there, something told me, ‘You’ve got to help this man out,’” she says in the video. “You’re not supposed to go inside someone’s house, but I trusted my instincts and brought the groceries in.”

Higgs texted the customer’s daughter to inform her that he “looked unwell.” She also mentioned that the house had a propane tank.

Higgs, who was dizzy, speculated that there might be a gas leak.

The woman replied that she would have her son drop by — and then changed Higgs’ tip on the order from $14 to $100.

Higgs breaks down in the video while explaining what happened next.

“I’m simply an Instacart employee,” Higgs says through tears. “But if you see something, report it. I’m very glad I did.”

Hundreds of thousands of people, including model Bella Hadid and Disney star Dove Cameron, have commented on Higgs’ video.

“I’m at a loss for words to express how deeply this touched me. I’m so thankful you exist, “.
