Mark Wahlberg and his family are loving their new life in Nevada! The actor, together with his wife Rhea Durham and their four children, happily settled in Las Vegas after leaving California in 2022. In an exclusive interview, Wahlberg shares that Nevada is “a place where my kids can thrive and do their thing and pursue their interests.”

Wahlberg and Durham, who tied the knot in August 2009, have two daughters, Ella (20) and Grace (14), as well as two sons, Michael (17) and Brendan (15). Their move to Nevada was motivated by Wahlberg’s vision of building a studio and turning Las Vegas into “Hollywood 2.0.” He wanted to be able to work from home and create better opportunities for his children to follow their dreams.

The actor explains, “Whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer — this made a lot more sense for us.” Wahlberg sees the move as a chance for a fresh start and is excited about the future.

In an update one year after the relocation, Wahlberg shared that his family has adapted nicely to their new home. The kids are attending school and everyone is happy. The move has not hindered Wahlberg’s acting career either. Following last year’s film “The Family Plan,” he stars in “Arthur the King,” where he bonds with a stray dog under extreme circumstances. The film is based on the book “Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home.”

Wahlberg and the dog, whom they named Arthur the King, develop a special bond during filming. They became fast friends, with Wahlberg resorting to a bit of “bribery” to win over the animal. The actor shares, “He actually was my neighbor in the Dominican Republic, and by the time she got over to the house, he had already had a couple steaks and a couple of pieces of chicken.”
