After returning to his Malibu estate, the actor realized that a substantial amount of cash, art, and jewelry, with an estimated value of around $100,000, had gone missing.

Unlike recent high-profile break-ins, law enforcement sources suspect that this incident may not be a result of a forced entry. Instead, investigators believe that someone within Cary’s household staff might have been involved and that the thefts could have been occurring over an extended period. It’s still unclear what triggered Cary’s realization of the missing items, but as soon as he discovered the theft, he promptly reported it to the police.
