Julie Chrisley, known from the show “Chrisley Knows Best,” recently shared a heartbreaking moment from her time in prison. On her daughter Savannah Chrisley’s podcast, Julie revealed a letter where she discussed being called in to see the prison doctor and learning about the possibility of having a tumor.

Initially, Julie thought the appointment was related to gynecology. However, during her conversation with the doctor, she was told that her HCG level was high, which is a pregnancy hormone. This high level could potentially indicate a tumor. Julie was devastated by the news and expressed her fear and confusion in her letter.

She wrote, “I literally fell apart. How can this be happening? I’m going to have blood work redone and get a scan. I’ve not told anyone, and I’m not going to until I know what’s going on. I’m so scared. I just want my husband [Todd Chrisley]. I don’t know if I can do this without him.”

Julie, who is currently serving a reduced five-year prison sentence, is not receiving the healthcare she needs. Her daughter Savannah expressed her frustration with the lack of communication from the prison and the quality of healthcare provided. Savannah was not informed about her mother’s condition and worries about Julie dealing with this alone.

This news is especially concerning considering Julie’s history with breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 2012 and had a double mastectomy. She went into remission after undergoing a hysterectomy in 2013. However, now the fear of a possible tumor recurrence weighs heavily on her.

Julie’s experience highlights the importance of accessible and quality healthcare for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. It’s a reminder that those in the prison system often face challenges in receiving proper medical attention and support. Let’s hope that Julie gets the care and support she needs during this difficult time.
