At the time, Tiger Woods was married to Elin Nordegren, and they had two children together, Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel. The news of his infidelity surfaced around the same time as Charlie’s birth, leading to the collapse of his marriage and a downturn in his golf career. The fact that he had affairs with over 100 women made this scandal particularly shocking.
Rachel Uchitel was the first woman connected to Tiger during this scandal. To convince his wife that the rumors were false, he even arranged a phone conversation with his mistress. However, the truth eventually came to light, leading to their divorce in August 2010.
While some people may find it unforgivable for someone to repeat the same mistake over and over, others understand that people make errors in their lives, especially under certain circumstances. Tiger’s actions hurt his marriage, but through it all, Elin showed remarkable strength and grace.
Although Elin was just thirty years old when they divorced, she received a substantial settlement worth $100 million. With that, she purchased a beautiful mansion in North Palm Beach. Recently, she sold the house for nearly $29 million. Elin has moved on and found love with Chris Cline, a billionaire coal magnate and philanthropist. Unfortunately, their relationship also came to an end in 2017 when Chris tragically passed away in a helicopter crash.
