Looking through group photos taken with friends is always exciting. Sometimes, someone’s funny face or fit of laughter can make a picture even more memorable. But what happens when an unexpected guest suddenly appears in a photograph? That’s exactly what happened to a group of young women during a bachelorette party on a remote estate in Scotland.

A Fun Getaway at The Coylet Inn

One summer, ten young women embarked on a trip to a remote estate in Scotland for a memorable bachelorette party. They chose to stay at The Coylet Inn, a charming building surrounded by woods and nestled on the banks of Loch Eck in Argyll, Scotland. The inn, which has stood since 1650, offered them the perfect Scottish getaway.

The Startling Discovery

Excited for a night filled with fun and laughter, the women decided to capture the moment by posing for group photos. They lined up in front of the picturesque lake, unaware of the surprise that awaited them.

Later, as they looked through the photos, they noticed something unsettling. In one of the pictures, there appeared to be eleven people instead of the expected ten. In the bottom left corner, a little boy looked back at them. None of the women had seen or noticed the boy when the photo was taken, and there was no sign of him in the hotel. He had mysteriously appeared in just one of their group photos taken by the water.

A Chilling History

Feeling an eerie discomfort, the group of women decided to investigate the history of The Coylet Inn. What they discovered sent shivers down their spines. Legend had it that years ago, a four-year-old boy who lived in the hotel with his mother tragically drowned in the lake. The boy had been sleepwalking and ended up in the water, his lifeless body found the following day.

Could it be possible that the boy in their group photo was the same boy who met an untimely demise several years ago? Uncertain and unnerved, the women couldn’t bear the thought of spending another night at the hotel.

A Mysterious Phenomenon

The group photo with the ghostly presence went viral in August 2018 when it was shared on Reddit, a popular social news aggregation website. People from all over the world were intrigued by the chilling encounter. One Reddit user, Marcusps1, described the photo as being taken “in the middle of an estate in Scotland – no other people around especially not young kids/little men.”
