When Jeremy and his wife, Nina, returned from a delightful vacation, they were stunned to find their home in complete disarray. The culprit? Jeremy’s older brother, Ted, known for his untidiness and lack of consideration, had moved in without any notice. The living room looked like a party had just ended, with empty beer cans, dirty linens, and an unpleasant odor filling the air.

Jeremy’s anger was palpable, but Ted seemed entirely unbothered, lounging on the couch as if everything was normal. “Oh, hey, Jeremy,” Ted said nonchalantly. “Mom and Dad thought that it’d be best for me to stay here while you were gone. You have so much space around here; it’s not like you’re using it all.”

Jeremy was in utter disbelief at Ted’s audacity. His brother had invaded their home without permission, blatantly disrespecting their privacy. Furious, Jeremy called his parents to confront them. Shockingly, they sided with Ted, accusing Jeremy of being selfish for not helping his brother out. Since Jeremy and Nina had no kids, they saw no harm in letting Ted stay.

But this was the final straw for Jeremy. Ted had been freeloading at their parents’ house for years, and now Jeremy was expected to take on the same burden. After Nina threatened to leave and stay with her sister if Ted remained, Jeremy knew he had to choose: get rid of Ted or lose his wife.

Determined to reclaim his home, Jeremy began a clever campaign to drive Ted out. First, he cut off the Wi-Fi, depriving Ted of his beloved binge-watching. Next, he turned off the hot water, forcing Ted to endure icy showers. The fridge was now stocked with only healthy food, much to Ted’s dismay. Lastly, Jeremy would blast loud music early in the morning, thoroughly disrupting Ted’s lazy routine.

By the seventh day, Ted had had enough. Frustrated and worn out, he declared that he would move back to their parents’ house. Jeremy was relieved and wasted no time cleaning the house from top to bottom. He even prepared a special lunch for Nina and called her to share the news that Ted was gone for good.

That evening, Jeremy made one last call to his parents. “Ted is out of my house,” he said firmly. “He won’t be coming back. He’s your responsibility now.”

Despite their displeasure, Jeremy felt a sense of peace. Ted moved back in with their parents, who insisted he turn the garage into his own living space and find a job. They blamed Jeremy for Ted’s discomfort, but Jeremy didn’t mind. His home and his marriage were finally back in harmony.
