Multiple MAGA supporters who attended former President Donald Trump’s rally in Tucson, Arizona, have been hospitalized with a mysterious illness. The event, which took place on September 12th, drew over 2,000 people in scorching 100+ degree heat. Newsweek reported that attendees experienced symptoms such as eye discomfort, facial swelling, and itching.

Campaign officials are now trying to determine the source of the outbreak, with some referring to it as a “floating illness.” The campaign organizers are eager to identify patient zero to trace the origins of the illness. While the Secret Service confirmed that there were no reported or suspected threats before the rally, they are taking the situation seriously and assisting in the investigation.

Interestingly, the symptoms seem to have affected only those on stage right, while the individuals standing on stage left reported no symptoms at all. Mayra Rodriguez, a former Planned Parenthood director who has since become a Trump supporter, experienced severe eye burning and impaired vision following the rally. Concerned that she may have been sprayed with mace or some type of aerosol, she sought medical attention.

Other individuals who contracted the illness described the symptoms as “horrible” and “excruciating.” One Trump supporter expressed concern that this outbreak might have been intentional, while another man described his eyes as “red like hell.”

Despite these unfortunate events, President Trump reiterated his commitment to eliminate taxes on tips for service workers during the rally. However, his pledge was quickly echoed by Vice President Kamala Harris, who happened to be in town for a private event on the same night.

This occurred amid a close race in the battleground state of Arizona, where recent polls show Trump and Harris at 46% each. Trump currently holds a slight lead according to an amalgamation of recent polling data.

In addition to the rally’s impact on the presidential race, MAGA supporters in Arizona are hopeful that Kari Lake’s campaign for the U.S. Senate will increase conservative voter turnout. With the election approaching, many conservatives recognize the importance of their vote in determining the outcome.

As the investigation into the mysterious illness continues, supporters and organizers are eager to find answers. The well-being of all rally attendees is a top priority, and steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
