Much to everyone’s surprise, Lexi hopped into the driver’s seat and settled herself behind the wheel. With a smile, Trooper Higgins calmly took a seat in the passenger seat, ready to transport her to safety.

Once out of harm’s way, Lexi was taken into custody by the State Police and brought to Lawrence Animal Control. And the story has a happy ending – Lexi was quickly reunited with her relieved and joyful family.
