Amanda Bynes Isn’t Interested in Revisiting Her Child Star Days

Amanda Bynes, the former child star known for her roles on Nickelodeon, has declined to talk about her past in a documentary about the dark side of kids’ TV. According to sources, Amanda and her parents, Rick and Lynn, were approached to participate in the documentary titled “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” but they all decided not to take part.

Amanda, who did not watch the documentary, declined an interview because she felt that she didn’t have anything to share that would contribute to the cause. She didn’t go through the same experiences as the subjects of the documentary. However, Amanda is grateful for the opportunities her Nickelodeon career provided, as it launched her career in the entertainment industry.

Her parents, on the other hand, watched the documentary and were both saddened and disgusted by the allegations. However, unlike other child actors, the family didn’t go through similar experiences at the network. This is why they chose not to participate.

It’s worth mentioning that Amanda starred in “The Amanda Show” from 1999 to 2002, alongside Drake Bell, who recently revealed that he was abused by a dialogue coach involved in the show. Other former co-stars like Josh Peck have also spoken out about the documentary and the alleged horrors some of their colleagues faced.

Interestingly, one of the episodes in “Quiet On Set” focuses heavily on Amanda, including how she was discovered in the mid-90s. It’s surprising that she isn’t interested in watching it, considering her role in the series. However, it is clear that Amanda wants to leave the past behind and focus on her burgeoning cosmetology career.

These days, Amanda leads a more low-key life and hasn’t publicly addressed the documentary. It’s important to note that there are no hard feelings between Amanda and Nickelodeon. She has moved on and is focused on her future endeavors.
