Despite the gravity of the situation, there is still hope. In November 2016, the Arctic experienced temperatures twenty degrees above the average, exceeding even the researchers’ predictions. It is crucial that we take swift action to reduce global greenhouse emissions to zero by 2070 to avoid catastrophe.
