Chip, 49, and Joanna, 45, recently announced their new show, Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse. This special limited series is a delightful twist on their hit show Fixer Upper, just in time for the summer season.
In Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse, Chip and Joanna will be taking on their next big project – a beautiful mid-century modern lake house near Lake Waco in Texas. Throughout the season, we will have the pleasure of witnessing the complete transformation of this property. And let me tell you, they are going above and beyond with surprising interior designs and unique outdoor installations that have never been seen on Fixer Upper before.
Excitement levels are through the roof as they dropped the first teaser trailer for the show. In it, we see Joanna arriving at the lake house ready to start the demolition, but Chip is nowhere to be found. As she calls out for him, we see the comedic chemistry between the couple. Joanna eventually finds Chip lounging in an inner tube in the lake, wearing his signature overalls and work boots. With a huge smudge of sunscreen on his nose, he simply smiles and waves at Joanna before floating off-screen.
Reflecting on their journey of 10 years of Fixer Upper, Chip and Joanna expressed their gratitude. They said, “When Fixer Upper premiered ten years ago, we couldn’t have imagined the journey we had ahead of us. Though a lot has changed and evolved in the decade between then and now, our love for home is still at the heart of everything we do. We feel honored that we get to continue pouring into the stories of these homes across Waco.”
Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse will premiere on the Magnolia Network and HGTV on June 2. Each of the six episodes will be aired two at a time, across three weeks.
