Sinbad, the legendary comedian, is feeling the love! He recently made his first Instagram post since 2022, reflecting on the overwhelmingly positive response to his first public appearance since suffering a stroke in 2020. Sinbad, who is now 67 years old, joined other members of the “A Different World” cast via Zoom for the first stop on a 10-city tour of historically Black colleges and universities. The event took place at the Atlanta University Center in Atlanta.

In an Instagram Reel published on Monday, Sinbad expressed his gratitude for the prayers, support, and positive thoughts he has received. He acknowledged their role in carrying him this far and assured his fans that they will continue to see him through the finish line. “It really is a different world out here!” he said.

The video clip showed Sinbad seated in a chair, watching a recording of the event. He looked up at the camera with a smile as the audience erupted in applause. Sinbad was moved by the enthusiastic response from college students and expressed surprise that they knew who he was.

Sinbad is best known for his role as Coach Walter Oakes on the NBC sitcom “A Different World,” which aired from 1987 to 1993. The show followed the life of students at Hillman College, a fictional historically Black college and university (HBCU) in Virginia. Sinbad’s portrayal of Coach Walter Oakes made him a beloved figure among fans.

In addition to the support from students, Sinbad’s Instagram section was filled with well-wishes from his peers in the entertainment industry. Terry Crews, Judd Apatow, Holly Robinson Peete, Cedric the Entertainer, and others expressed their happiness at seeing Sinbad in good spirits. Sinbad was touched by their words and expressed his gratitude for the prayers and messages of support he has received.

Sinbad also shared that he has been receiving emails from people dealing with similar health situations who have reached out to him through his website. He intends to reply to as many of them as he can. He ended his video by making a promise to his supporters that they can expect to see more of him soon. He playfully added, “Don’t freak out if you turn around and I’m standing right behind you. Miracles happen!”

Sinbad’s stroke in 2020 was caused by a blood clot that traveled from his heart to his brain. His family believes that he is here today because of the multitude of prayers from all who know and love him. They are grateful for the outpouring of love and support, and Sinbad’s spirits have been lifted along the way.

Sinbad’s return to Instagram and his first public appearance since his stroke is a testament to his strength and resilience. His message of hope and the power of miracles is an inspiration to us all. We look forward to seeing more of Sinbad and celebrating his journey to recovery.
