Shannen Doherty, best known for her roles in “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Charmed,” continues to share her journey with cancer. In a recent video posted on social media, she opened up about her fears and the overwhelming emotions she experienced leading up to her brain tumor surgery in January.

“I’m clearly attempting to be brave, but I’m terrified,” she shared in the caption of the video. “The fear was overwhelming to me. I was terrified of the worst-case scenario, worried about leaving my mother and how it would affect her. I was concerned that I might emerge from surgery as someone other than myself. This is just one of the ways cancer can present itself.”

In another video posted earlier this year, Shannen Doherty revealed that her CT scan on January 5th showed the presence of secondary cancer in her brain. The video showed her getting fitted for the mask she would wear during brain radiation treatment. “It’s clear that I’m terrified. I am extremely claustrophobic, and my life was chaotic,” she expressed. “I am fortunate to have wonderful doctors like Dr. Amin (Mirhadi) and the incredible staff at Cedar Sinai. But amidst all of this worry, chaos, and timing, cancer can truly demonstrate its impact.”

Shannen Doherty’s battle with cancer started in 2015 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. However, it later went into remission. Unfortunately, she revealed in 2020 that the cancer had returned and progressed to stage 4. Her openness about her experience continues to shed light on the challenges faced by cancer patients and the importance of support and understanding during such difficult times.
