Forget everything you think you know about tattoos. Melissa Sloan is about to shake up your world. This British mom has an impressive collection of over 800 tattoos – yes, you read that right, 800! Covering most of her face, Sloan’s ink obsession is anything but ordinary.

But here’s the twist: Sloan decided to cover up her facial tattoos for a photograph. The transformation? Jaw-dropping.

As reported by the Daily Star, our inked-up heroine has been crafting her extreme look for the past decade. And believe it or not, she averages three tattoos a week. Talk about dedication! Sometimes she’s at home, other times in her van – because why not?

The plot thickens. Despite her passion, five out of her seven children have stopped speaking to her. Tragic? Maybe. But Sloan’s two youngest kids? They’re her biggest fans, cheering on every new design.

However, Sloan’s dedication to body art has come at a cost. She’s found it nearly impossible to secure employment and has faced outright rejection due to her tattoos. She candidly shared with the Daily Star, “I can’t get a job. They won’t have me. I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they wouldn’t have me because of my tattoos.

“My first job was cleaning toilets ages ago. People say I’ve never worked, but I have, though it didn’t last long. If someone offered me a job tomorrow, I’d take it in a heartbeat.”

Sloan also revealed that her appearance has led to social ostracization, recounting, “No Christmas parties for me, and when I go to my child’s school, I don’t get invited inside. They suggested I look through the window from the back garden instead.”

So, what happened when she covered up her tattoos? Her family was less than thrilled. In an attempt to mix things up, she bought a £3 foundation and worked meticulously to hide her tattoos. But when she unveiled her ink-free face, chaos ensued. “The kids freaked out,” Sloan admitted. Even her partner wasn’t onboard. “He said, ‘No, it doesn’t suit you. Get your tattoos back; it looks weird.’ The kids cried, and even the dog did a double-take!”

Think that’s dramatic? It gets better. Sloan’s youngest child was actually scared of her new look. Despite the effort, her temporary transformation scared her kids senseless. And removing the thick foundation? It took a full 24 hours.

As for the local trolls who criticized her tattoos, Sloan had the perfect comeback: “They said my kids are scared of my tattoos, but they were scared of me with the foundation on!”

Brave as ever, she gave the tattoo-free look another shot, making sure to keep her kids away this time. But the verdict was the same. “They said, ‘Go back to your craziness, Mom.’ They wouldn’t talk to me, like they were looking at a stranger,” she shared.

Once she removed the foundation, life returned to normal. “It should have been the other way round,” Sloan mused.

She now uses proper tattoo foundation – we’re talking thick, cement-like stuff. It’s a tough job, but she’s not giving up on her inked self anytime soon.

Viewers had mixed reactions to her new, more natural appearance, with many complimenting her on the transformation. But Sloan remains unconvinced. “It’s my life at the end of the day,” she says. “People said I looked beautiful before, but I like it crazy.”

So there you have it – a story of ink, identity, and a family who loves their mom just the way she is. What’s your take on Melissa Sloan’s tattoo journey? Love it or hate it, you can’t deny it’s a story worth telling.
