Meet Banner, a courageous Siberian Husky with a heart of gold. This incredible dog has not only served as a mental and medical support for her owner, Whitney Braley, but she has also become a hero in her own right. Banner’s keen instincts led her to save the lives of seven precious newborn kittens, who were abandoned in a cardboard box in the nearby woods.
Whitney, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, relies on Banner for support during anxiety attacks. This loyal Husky knows just how to comfort and calm her owner, keeping her safe from stressful situations. But Banner’s extraordinary abilities don’t stop there. When duty calls, she goes above and beyond to help animals in need.
It all began when Banner started displaying signs of distress, frantically pulling at Whitney’s clothes. Recognizing that something was amiss, Whitney followed her determined dog into the woods, where she discovered Banner circling around a cardboard box. Eager to investigate, Banner jumped right in and retrieved a tiny white kitten. To her surprise, there were six more little ones inside, seemingly lifeless.
Whitney suspects that these innocent creatures were callously placed inside the box and left to perish. The cruel actions of an unknown individual came to light thanks to Banner’s unwavering determination. At first, Whitney feared the worst as the kittens showed no signs of movement or sound, but then they began to wiggle. “It frustrates me to think that someone could do this to these helpless animals. What a terrible world it can be,” she expressed.
From that moment on, Banner became these kittens’ guardian angel. She refused to leave their side when they returned home to Menlo, Georgia, USA.
Treating them as her own, Banner dedicated herself to nurturing, cuddling, and resting with her newly adopted babies. It is with great relief that Whitney shares all seven kittens have now found loving families who will care for them and give them a forever home.
