Walt Disney Studios confirmed that the sequel will be in theaters in 2025.

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are back at it.

Over 20 years after their original 2003 comedy, Lohan, 37, and Curtis, 65, smile and hold hands in a new photo from the set of Freaky Friday 2. They swapped places, both sitting on the steps of the other star’s trailer.

Shared by Walt Disney Studios on June 24, the announcement confirmed that the sequel is now in production and set to be released in theaters in 2025.

Lohan told PEOPLE in March that the new film was “in the process” and said she was “excited to work with Jamie again and see how much further we can take it.”

“Because we talk almost every other day in general, so I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with this,” Lohan added.

When Freaky Friday marked its 20th anniversary, the two costars reunited for an interview with The New York Times and touched on their “easy” friendship.

“We met in an office, did the read-through, and it was game on in a big way. I had to let go of every control mechanism and just let it fly,” said Curtis. “Lindsay was as fluid as I was. If you look at ‘The Parent Trap,’ she has a facility as an actor that is really impressive. It was a big job. It was a big production. And our relationship was very easy.”
