In her 2020 memoir, “Always Young and Restless: My Life On and Off America’s #1 Daytime Drama,” she bravely shared her story of being born to a teenage mother who was still in high school. From an early age, Scott felt a deep “disconnect” from her mother, who didn’t show any interest or care for her.

Her grandmother, in particular, seemed emotionally distant and dissatisfied with Scott’s existence. During her time in the industry, Scott suffered unimaginable abuse at the hands of various men. Shockingly, her grandmother, driven by her desire for success, turned a blind eye to the sexual abuse. Scott revealed, “She believed that any man in show business could help us, regardless of their position.” This traumatic childhood left her with generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and agoraphobia.

Scott’s path to healing has been a challenging one, as she continues to work on putting herself back together piece by piece. One essential aspect of her healing process has been therapy. Through counseling sessions, she has found a safe space to confront her past traumas and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

In addition to therapy, Scott has embraced meditation as a powerful tool for her emotional well-being.
