Charlize Theron Criticizes Steven Seagal for His Behavior Towards Women
In a recent interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Charlize Theron did not hold back in expressing her thoughts about actor Steven Seagal. The acclaimed actress, known for her roles in action films such as “Atomic Blonde” and “Mad Max: Fury Road,” called Seagal “overweight” and questioned his martial arts skills.
Theron, who often researches martial arts and combat for her film roles, brought up Seagal’s videos of him supposedly “fighting” in Japan. According to Theron, these videos show Seagal simply pushing people around instead of engaging in actual combat. “He’s just extremely overweight and can’t even fight,” she explained. Theron criticized his physical shape and dismissed his claims of martial arts expertise.
But Theron’s criticism of Seagal didn’t stop there. She justified her blunt remarks by pointing out his rumored difficult behavior, especially towards women. She boldly stated, “I don’t mind talking s-t about him because he’s not very nice to women, so f-k you!”
Seagal, who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct and assault from multiple women, has yet to respond to Theron’s comments. One of the accusers is Regina Simons, an extra in Seagal’s 1994 film “On Deadly Ground,” who accused him of raping her at a wrap party when she was 18. Another accuser, Faviola Dadis, claimed Seagal groped her during an audition in 2002.
Theron’s co-star in “Arrested Development,” Portia de Rossi, also shared her experience working with Seagal. In a tweet from 2017, de Rossi revealed that during her final audition for a Steven Seagal movie, he acted inappropriately towards her. De Rossi promptly left the audition and called her agent to share the uncomfortable encounter.
Many other women have come forward with similar accusations against Seagal, shedding light on his alleged mistreatment of women. Theron’s outspoken critique of Seagal’s behavior serves as a powerful statement against such misconduct in the industry.
