We’ve all made decisions in the past that we might think twice about today, but Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble’s journey of body modification is one that catches the eye. This Australian dad made headlines for covering himself in over 200 tattoos, pushing the boundaries of self-expression.

From a young age, Ethan dove into the world of body art, stretching his ears at 11 and on to more extreme modifications like tongue splitting and even removing his belly button. But it’s his all-encompassing tattoos that have sparked the most conversation.

While tattoos have become a popular way to express oneself, Ethan’s extensive ink work, which cost him approximately $39,000 USD, eventually led to self-reflection, especially considering his role as a father.

Ethan shares that while he doesn’t regret his tattoos, he wishes to be perceived differently, especially in the role of being a father and doing everyday activities with his daughter. Concerned about the judgments and potential issues his appearance might attract, particularly affecting his young daughter, Ethan decided to take a drastic step.

He began undergoing laser surgery to remove some of his face tattoos, a painful but telling journey towards undoing or at least fading the ink that covers him from head to toe. This decision wasn’t taken lightly as it was aimed not only at altering his appearance but easing the anxiety linked with his heavily tattooed face.

As Ethan puts it, he’s looking to ‘clear the canvas,’ a process that he anticipates will take a couple of years until the tattoos on his face significantly fade. This transformation is not just for his sake but for his daughter’s well-being and their life together.
